One of our most prolific and loyal collagers at Collage Night is prop stylist and set designer Jesse Kaufmann. Each class we look forward to his imaginative and often humorous creations. We wanted to share with you some of our favorite collages he’s made. It was a tough choice though, he’s made so many good ones! This week we’re featuring the collages of designer and artist Kirk Bray, who has become a familiar face at Tuesday Night Collage Class. In addition to his impressive creative accomplishments outside of class (he runs a leather goods company called Billy Kirk with his brother, and is also a wonderful painter) he is a wizard at collage. Kirk usually arrives early and quietly tackles each week’s theme with precision and whimsy. We love having him in class!

A lot of creative New Yorkers have been attending our Tuesday Night Collage Class with Caris Reid. We’d like to spotlight an artist who has been gracing the club with her lovely collaging presence : Art Director and Illustrator Keren Richter. Richter is always coming up with new whimsical projects for places like Refinery 29 and Nylon. Here are a few collages she’s made on Tuesday Nights. You can join us to make your own collage on March 6th at 7:30pm. Each week is uniquely themed with carefully curated material. This weeks theme: Petal N’ Metal! Harriet Stubbs in Concert Tonight! 8pm:

In the tradition of the intimate salon performances for a few friends preferred by Chopin, we couldn’t be more excited to present to you an evening of classical music at The Oracle Club. The extremely talented Harriet Stubbs will perform Bach Prelude and Fugue Book 2, No 21, Chopin 3rd Ballade, Beethoven Bagatelle Opus 126 no 3, Chopin Scherzo No’s 2 and 3, Liszt Transcendental Etude No 8 and Chopin Etude Opus 10 no 1, and there will be many interludes for merry-making. In the salon, the proximity of the piano to the audience will make for a truly unique experience. This is a rare opporunity. Please feel free to don your most formal attire, or to come as you are.

Tickets are $20,The concert is free for members. Seating is limited, members and non-members must rsvp to theoracleclub@gmail.com.

Harriet Stubbs is finishing her Master’s degree at Manhattan school of Music in New York under the chairman of the department, Dr Marc Silverman. She is gracing us with this opportunity to hear her perform before she makes her Carnegie Hall debut in January, 2013.

On Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm, artist Caris Reid hosts a collage class with material she’s carefully curated. Dossier Journal recently mentioned her class as a must. Come join us this Thursday for “Lay Lady Lay”. Records will be playing. $20 and all materials included.
